Details:
The time is fast approaching for the next Bay Area meetup! This time around, we’ll be meeting at the Crepevine Restaurant in San Rafael. Show up around 8am. We’ll eat and talk everything radio, hiking, and SOTA. Afterwards we’ll split up and go activate some nearby summits. We’re hoping for good weather and there are plenty of summits nearby, from drive-ups to crazy bushwhacks. If you’re an activator, a chaser, or want to become one, come join us for a great time!

Good work, OM. Hope to be able to drop in. It’s a 3 hour drive from my home QTH to the meeting spot, so we will see.

I’m looking forward to this. Should be a fun time seeing all the other activators and chasers in the area.

Just a reminder to everyone in Northern California that this meetup is happening on Sunday. Hope to see you there!

What a great idea! We should have something like it here in central NM. Newbies could come along and get the hang of it before going out on their own. I lived in Bay Area for about 19 years and still miss it.

Doesn’t look like I can make it guys. I have an obligation in the afternoon. However, that obligation happens to be at a tower site that is also a SOTA peak, so how about some STS contacts after the meetup for those who are activating after the get together? I will be on 146.520 FM.

Great, Paul! Which summit will you be on? I have to head back home right after the breakfast, but I might be able to get up on a local summit after that.

I’ll have my HT and leave it on 146520 when I go up some Marin peak.

Hi Rex. I will be on W6/NS-348 but do not yet know what time. Have to get my work done first, then I can pull out the gear and activate. Will be using the 4-element Arrow beam and a Radio Shack HTX-200 on a AA alkaline pack.

Great, Paul! I’ll try to chase ya.
