W9MDB is developing an option for inclusion in WSJT-X Version 1.9 which will permit FT8 users to call CQ like this:
“CQ W7GJ SOTA”
As you know, you already can end the contact with a message identifying the peak such as this one:
“73 W7M/LM-053”
I think this will certainly make FT8 even more popular with SOTA stations

Do you know if this is the same version that will have extensions for use with/by DXPedition stations? I suspect that would be the case, as it also requires some changes to the message formats, in which case that is due before the Baker Island DXPedition in June - this would tie in with your expected date.
