This summit is at the Avoriaz ski station. It is the highest peak in the section d’Arare.
I took the ski lift Intrets up to 2200 m when it opened at 09:00 on April 9. After 100 m of climbing skiing becomes difficult and I have to carry the skis. The ice axe (piolet) was useful, though not strictly necessary. Call CQ 9:42 UTC on 10116 kHz. Roy G4SSH replies and promises to spot me. Then GW0DSP, EI7CC, DL3JPN, 2E0OOO, GM4FAM, DL2DXA, SP6TGI and G0NES. QSY to 7031 kHz and work DL6KVA, DL7RAG, DL4ALI, DL1FU, DL8DLX, PA0HRM, F5NEP and F8BBL. QSY to 3561 kHz and call CQ twice. Nobody there. QRT 1025 UTC and ski down.
