Activation F/AB-268 Pointe d'Areu 2478 m

#1

There is no snow at the start 1300 m and I need to carry the skis for 30 minutes. But then the risk of avalanches is also low 1 - 2 in the morning and 3 late afternoon with wet snow. My conservative estimate 4 hours for the 1250 m climbing is correct, but I did not expect to drive 1 hour and 40 minutes here. So arrival to the summit at 2478 m is at 12:00, one hour later that ETA. Tune to 10116 kHz. There is WM1? station calling CQ DX, but goes away. After my CQ G4SSH replies at 1030 UTC. Then Geoff G4CPA, GM0AXY, 2E0OOO and EI7CC. Try 14061 kHz, no results. Tune to 7031 kHz and work DL6KVA, DL4ALI, DL6FAX, DL9SXX, DL7RAG and DL3JPN. G0VYR does not copy me well and gives 339. QRT 1115 UTC. It seems that 30 m works to UK and 40 m to DL. What band would work to F or to HB9? Try also 144.300-usb, only noise there with the whip antenna.

Radio: FT817ND 2.5 W CW, T1 ATU and 28 m wire in loop
