2+1 Goats in a day

My congratulations to Carolyn G6WRW and Andy MM0FMF on achieving the 1000 activator points!

Just a note to add that on that day there was one more goat that reached the 1000 activator points while on OK/ST-021 on Saturday. Great coincidence that it happened just on the SOTA 10th birthday.
It took me 2.5 years since I started in June 2009, about 2500 QSOs from the summits, all QRP and CW.

Thanks to all for the QSOs and see you from more summits in the future.

Many congratulations Petr and thank you for the CW contacts we have had in the past. The prefix OK1 stands out well in the pileup of calls I hear on the bands along with DL and EA. DL sounds nice and musical and most EA ops emphasise the first dit (dit-longer space-di-dah). For some reason I don’t understand, OK1 stands out in my ears aswell.

Here is to many more QSOs.

Congrats Petr!

Typical you wait months for a “Goating” then three come along at the same time.

Seriously though well done to the three of you it takes real dedication.

Many congratulations dear Petr!

Also many tnx for all the fb QSOs in the past

Hope to hear you many more times

Thank you all for the kind words and for all the QSOs.

Actually, my goal was to achieve the Goat status by the end of 2011 but had a knee problem in October so could not walk up the hills. Glad to be back and looking forward to more summits this year.

BTW, I do enjoy the fact that from the summits it is possible to generate a pile up or work a DX with QRP and a simple wire thrown over tree branches.
And I appreciate S2S QSOs that are always highlights of the activation.

OK Andy, maybe it’s just the number of dashes that stand out, hi.

Thanks also for the QSOs from GM summits and looking forward to many more.

Congratulations to all three! Carolyn G6WRW, Andy MM0FMF and Petr OK1CZ. I have just returned from a couple of weeks away to see this post. 3 Goats in a day is quite something, SOTA is definitely gaining popularity!

Andy, I see you have just about caught me up, only three points behind, I must get out up another hill! It was a close run thing, after approx 7 years we arrive at Goatdom just a couple of months apart. Not that there is any competition!

Petr, you have arrived at Goatdom after just 2.5 years and all CW. Quite a feat! I have now started using CW, definitely the way to go! I look forward to working you some time.

Carolyn, I think I have worked you a couple of times, look forward to working you again soon.

Well done all three!
